Did you miss last week’s Author Talk with Susan Kiyo Ito? You can watch the recording on YouTube thanks to WinCAM!

Susan and WPL Librarian Tony Corsentino had a great conversation about Susan’s memoir I Would Meet You Anywhere; they discussed adoption, identity, family secrets, public policies that impact adopted people, and more.

The book depicts Susan’s adoption by Japanese American parents, her search and ongoing relationship with her Japanese birth mother, and the many unanswered questions that continue. Themes in the book include family secrets, identity, biracial experience, reproductive justice, adoption and finding empowerment through writing and community.

Thank you to the Friends of the Library for supporting this special event!
