The Library has been the recipient of many generous gifts of art. Several are on permanent display in the building, including murals, ceremonial silver, stained glass windows, and paintings. View our Art in the Library (PDF) brochure for full details on the artwork.
The Library encourages exhibitions and displays of paintings, photographs, sculpture and other artworks and crafts for civic, cultural, educational and recreational purposes. Exhibit and display space is made available on an equitable basis to qualified individuals or groups with respect to artworks that best meet the standards for acceptance.
Submissions for hanging art are accepted approximately once a year and must include:
- the application form,
- one representative piece of your work, and
- 5 to 6 additional photos of your work that are 5″x 7″ or smaller.
To be notified when the Art Committee is ready to review applications, please contact the Administrative Office at 781-721-7171 x310. Download and complete the application (PDF) to get started..
