Overdose Awareness Day and Recovery Month Resources

Just about everyone knows someone who has been affected by a drug overdose. August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day and September is National Recovery Month. The books listed explore the history of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) including the involvement of drug companies that contributed to the current opioid epidemic. There is a memoir and there are books that explore treatments and therapies. The lives of all those lost to drug overdose matter. These books and more are on display in the new book area on the main floor of the library. Check out these resources to be better informed about this crisis in America and to help end the stigma of SUD.
