British Mysteries Then and Now

| |

If you are a fan of mysteries, I am sure you have read an Agatha Christie or Dorothy Sayers book. These authors have inspired many British mystery writers of the present day. The British mystery entertains and challenge the reader to solve a murder while enjoying the setting of a cozy English village with its stone cottages and picturesque churches or the steamy underside of London. The plots are moderately paced. The main character is a detective who could be a fearless woman or an eccentric man. Many of these mysteries have been adapted for TV and can be seen on PBS or Netflix. These books are available in most formats.
