Books in Translation

| |

“Translation is that which transforms everything so that nothing changes.”
– Günter Grass

Reading books in translation is a bit like traveling and staying with a host family. I enjoy learning about different cultures through witnessing characters’ experiences and observing their daily lives. It fascinates me that translated books have two authors. It takes incredible skill to recreate the book in a new language, weaving the intangible into words while preserving the author’s voice.

These books will let you travel the world with and through their authors. Use the links to read a book summary and to order a copy.

Happy travels!
