During the month of February and all year round we celebrate the contributions to our community made by people of African descent. By focusing on African American authors, we can experience the diverse, multifaceted stories of 400 years of African American history. The works on the list are stories of resilience, tragedy, and love. Some of the stories are magical. Many of the authors will be familiar to you. You can pick from novels, poetry and works of nonfiction. All are available in a variety of formats.
