June 25th is National Campout Day!
Great American Campout is an annual event encouraging everyone to spend some time getting back in touch with nature. And if camping isn’t your thing, try setting up a tent in the backyard or in the living room for a fun family “camping” experience.
It’s also the perfect time to sign up for Summer Reading if you haven’t already. This year, Winchester Library’s Summer Reading theme is Camp Read S’More! You can sign up and complete a series of challenges to be entered to win a prize at the end of summer.
The suggested summer reading list has loads of great books, many of which include camping or nature. Below we are also sharing a few bonus titles that might help you celebrate National Campout Day and kick off your summer reading!
