The Library’s roof and windows replacement project began on March 30 and will likely run through the end of 2026. During this time, parking will be limited, and access to the building and Library services may be restricted.
A section of the parking lot will be closed off for use by the contractor for the duration of the project.
For the safety of patrons and staff, the library’s outdoor bookdrops will be closed for the duration of the project. Please return items inside the building during open hours or at a nearby library in the Minuteman Network. Nearby Minuteman libraries include Woburn, Lexington, Arlington, and Medford. Bookings for the Small and Large Meeting Rooms are on pause during May and June due to window replacements in those spaces.
As with any construction project, the timeline is subject to change. Updates will be provided as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make these much-needed improvements to the historic Library building.
