January Art Exhibit - New Perspective on the Civil War
Winchester artist John M. Williams will display his original collages in an exhibit titled New Perspective on the Civil War from January 4-31. John specializes in portrait collages of great historical figures with a special interest in the Civil War. He creates intriguing portraits by piecing together small pieces of cut paper to create a likeness of his subject, revealing the person’s character as well as their historical significance. John also creates interpretations of landmark events in Civil War history such as the Bleeding Kansas era, the firing on Fort Sumter, and Reconstruction. more about this exhibit
