Who can be a volunteer?
You must be a resident of the town of Winchester, MA and be at least 14 years old. Volunteers aged 18 + must also consent to a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) check before starting their volunteer work.

What do volunteers do?
Possible jobs include shelf-reading and mending books. Most volunteer assignments do not require special skills. Per the Trustees Policy, the Library does not use volunteers as substitutes for regular paid staff.

What is the time commitment?
Volunteers should be willing to work a regular schedule of two hours per week for a minimum of three months. The library does recognize that volunteers may need some flexibility in scheduling and that last minute cancellations will occur.

How can I apply?
We currently do not have any open volunteer positions.
