WEBSITES FOR TEENS

ikeepbookmarks.com/WinHSLibrary , compiled by Karen Miller, Winchester High School Librarian, has the best curriculum related databases and faculty recommended sources including a link to easybib a website that shows how to cite sources using MLA format.

Teen Links
Websites selected by young adult librarians in the Minuteman Library Network and designed for students grade six and up.The Minuteman Library Network does not necessarily recommend that all teens visit all sites. We urge parents to visit these pages and discuss these sites with their teens.

How to Cite Sources, compiled by Becky Ballard, former Library Media Specialist at the McCall Middle School.

BibMe is a fully automatic bibliography maker that auto-fills information in MLA, APA, Chicago, or Turabian formats.

The Writing Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison provides examples of how to cite works in a reference paper using MLA format.

BOOKS AND MAGAZINES.

The Young Adult Room is on the main floor and serves ages 12-18. It includes young adult hardcover fiction and paperbacks as well as magazines.. We're always happy to have suggestions, so let us know which magazines you enjoy. Young adult non-fiction is shelved with the adult collection and is designated by a YA spine label.

A professional librarian specializing in literature for young adults is available to help you select books for recreational reading.
