Required Summer Reading List
June 2008
Below are the
REQUIRED reading titles for each grade level. In addition, all students are
expected to read at least two other books.
Grade 6:
Gossamer by Lois Lowry and two other books of student’s
choice from the Recommended Summer Reading List.
Grade 7: The Lightning Thief, by Rick Riordan and one other book of student’s choice from the Recommended Summer Reading List.
Grade 8: Big
Mouth and Ugly Girl by Joyce Carol Oates
