The World Wide Web

The Web has millions upon millions of websites. The changes are so rapid that the count is inexact. Librarians and others concerned with selecting high quality sources have set up directories and guides to help you find the sites that are the most informative and reliable. Below is a selection of those directories:

QuickFind! Massachusetts Sites. These sites are arranged by subject and have been selected and reviewed by Minuteman Library Network (MLN) librarians.

Resources for the Study of Winchester’s History, compiled by Thomas Michalak, is an excellent starting place for an exploration of Winchester's history. This guide includes a selection of the most consulted Town documents, books and pamphlets on the general history of Winchester and the architecture of Winchester as well as links to many relevant websites.   

Teen Links. Here you will find websites selected by young adult librarians in the Minuteman Library Network (MLN) and designed for students in grade six and up. The Minuteman Library Network does not necessarily recommend that all teens visit all sites. MLN urges parents to visit these pages and discuss these sites with their teens.
