Summer Reading is Coming

Today’s the Summer Solstice, and we’re gearing up for Summer Reading 2017! It’s almost here!

This year’s Summer Reading program officially kicks off on Tuesday, June 27 with an amazing magic show with David Hall! Come see some incredible illusions, and then sign up for our reading program.

You’ll get a special bingo card where you can keep track of what you read. If you read enough to get a Bingo, your card becomes your ticket to our awesome Wrap-Up Party at the end of the summer. Plus we’ll have a different game for you to play each week when you stop in to the library and check out a book. If you win the games, you’ll get raffle tickets for some great prizes, including a backpack, gift certificates, and a brand new Kindle!

Plus, we’ll have tons of fun programs to do all summer long. Storytimes, science, crafts, amazing performers, and more! Check out our online calendar to find out details about everything that’s going on.

Drawing Superhero Stories

This week we had a visit from our very funny friend and cartoonist, Eric Fulford! He taught us all how to create our own comic books!! We had an awesome time and can't wait for him to come back again!

5th Grade School Visits

This week, we visited the 5th grade classes at Lincoln and Ambrose Elementary schools. This is always a fun event for us. Not only do we get to recommend our favorite new books to the kids, we also get to hear about their favorite books. You can download a PDF of our Recommended Summer Reading for Graduating 5th Graders and see the kids' choices below.

Thanks, everybody!
